The short version. BuildMyPC suggests PC parts. It is advice, not a guarantee. Prices come from a supplier feed and can be out of date. We sell you nothing. It is a beta, so things will occasionally break. Check anything important before you spend money.
Who you are dealing with
BuildMyPC is operated as a trading name by an individual based in Cyprus. It is not yet a registered company. Contact: [email protected].
What the service is
You tell us a budget and what you want the machine to do. We search a catalogue of parts and recommend one build, checked for compatibility. That is the whole product.
Recommendations are advisory
Our compatibility checks are careful but they are not infallible. Catalogue data comes from suppliers and manufacturers and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Before you buy, verify that the parts fit together and fit your case. The final decision, and the money, are yours.
We are not liable for parts you buy on the basis of a recommendation, including incompatibility, underperformance, or a better deal you would have found elsewhere.
Prices
Prices shown come from a third-party supplier feed and are refreshed periodically, not live. They can drift, and stock can disappear. A price on BuildMyPC is not an offer and does not bind us or any retailer. The price at the retailer's checkout is the real one.
We are not the seller
We do not sell hardware, take payment, or ship anything. Any purchase is between you and the retailer, under their terms, with their warranty and their returns policy. Consumer rights you have against a retailer are not rights against us.
This is a beta
Meaning, concretely:
- Features may change or disappear without notice.
- The site may be down. It runs on a single server.
- There are known defects — we list them publicly rather than hide them.
- We aim not to lose your saved builds, but we do not promise it. Keep a copy of anything you care about.
Your account
Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not attempt to break, overload, or scrape the service, and do not use automated tools to generate builds in bulk — capacity is shared and finite, and doing so takes the service away from other people. We may suspend accounts that do.
Our content
The site, its text and its design belong to us. Part names, specifications, images and trade marks belong to their respective manufacturers and retailers. Use a build we generated for you however you like — it is your build.
Liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or money spent on hardware.
Nothing here removes liability that cannot legally be excluded, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Cypriot or EU law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protections of your own country's law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
